Hello, I’m Caroline Strawson.

I am a multi-award-winning Trauma Informed Therapist and Coach, Nervous System Expert, and founder of The Mental Wellbeing Company.

I have trained hundreds of Certified Trauma Informed Coaches and Mental Wellbeing Practitioners to safely support clients in understanding their past, regulating in the present, and moving forward — even in the presence of stress, struggle and challenge.

But before any qualification, I am human.

In 2010, I experienced a series of life-changing traumatic events. My mum died suddenly. My husband left. I was left with over £70,000 of debt and had unknowingly experienced covert narcissistic abuse.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with complex PTSD.

I struggled with depression, anxiety, panic attacks and self-harm — all while asking myself how an intelligent, medically trained woman could end up here.

What I needed was someone who understood trauma from the inside out.

That person did not exist.

So I became her.

My lived experience, paired with neuroscience, trauma therapy and nervous system expertise, is why I now teach practitioners — including the person who invited you — how to help others understand their physiology and build real capacity.
