Are you a parent who...

Feels exhausted trying to manage daily meltdowns, shutdowns, emotional outbursts or watching your child disappear into their phone or bedroom when things get overwhelming?

Worries that school, family, or even your co-parent just don’t get your child, and sometimes blame and judge you for their behaviour, while you’re just trying to keep everyone regulated?

Sees your child people pleasing, masking their real emotions, or trying to be "perfect" on the outside, while deep down you fear what they’re bottling up inside, especially under the pressure of social media and constant comparison?

Finds yourself shouting, shutting down, scrolling your own phone to escape, or withdrawing when your child's behaviour triggers old feelings of being "not good enough" as a parent?

Dreams of breaking generational cycles — of raising emotionally resilient, compassionate kids — but sometimes wonders if you're really doing enough to heal yourself and create the future you want for your family?

Inside, you’ll get 5 of my favourite nervous system reset meditations to use anytime you need to:

Parenting is one of the greatest sources of love, meaning, and joy in our lives

No one hands you a guidebook for how to stay calm when your child is losing control, or how to stay connected when your own body feels overwhelmed.

Parenting isn't just about what we say, it’s about what we feel, what we carry, and how our nervous systems respond in the moments that matter most.

When we understand the science of stress, survival, and connection, we can stop seeing our child's behaviours, and our own reactions, as failures, and start seeing them as invitations: invitations to heal, to connect, and to build something stronger than just obedience, to build real emotional safety.

but it can also bring out some of our deepest struggles.

You want to raise your child with love, patience, and understanding.
But some days, it feels like you’re battling an invisible force, inside your child, inside yourself, and inside the world around you.

Maybe you’re seeing behaviours like:

When your child acts out, shuts down, or people-pleases, it’s not “bad behaviour.”

It’s their nervous system protecting them.

Fight Survival Response

Exploding in anger over seemingly small things

Hitting, kicking, biting, or throwing objects

Arguing constantly or aggressively resisting rules

Using intense or intimidating language or tone

Seeking control in every situation to avoid feeling powerless

These behaviours aren’t about being “bad”, they are a child’s protectors stepping in to defend them when their nervous system senses threat.

Flight Survival Response

Running away from stressful situations, arguments, or transitions

Constant fidgeting, needing to move or escape physically

Shifting attention quickly, seeming “distracted” or “hyper”

Avoiding emotions by over-focusing on tasks, activities, or busyness

Restlessness or inability to settle, even during calm moments

These behaviours are a child’s protectors urging them to “outrun” overwhelm, fear, or emotional discomfort.

Freeze Survival Response

Zoning out, becoming very still, or shutting down emotionally

Seeming “too good,” overly compliant, or robotically following instructions

Masking true feelings to avoid upsetting adults

Becoming withdrawn, distant, or excessively quiet

People-pleasing, prioritising adult approval over their own needs and feelings

Freeze behaviours, including emotional shutdown and people-pleasing are ways your child’s protectors help them survive overwhelming environments.

Beneath every survival response, fight, flight, or freeze, your child is asking for something deeper:

And What Your Child Really Wants…

To feel safe enough to show all of who they are

To express big emotions without fear of rejection, punishment, or shame

To know it’s okay to feel anger, sadness, fear and still be loved

To build emotional resilience, not by avoiding feelings, but by expanding their capacity to cope

To trust their body, their feelings, and their place in the world

This is what true emotional safety creates.
And this is exactly what you will learn how to offer your child, while healing yourself along the way.

When your child’s big emotions spill over, they often awaken your own old survival strategies. Maybe you’re seeing yourself respond in ways that surprise, frustrate, or even shame you.
Maybe you’re noticing:

And Your Reactions as a Parent Aren’t “Bad” Either

They’re Your Nervous System Protecting You.

Parent Fight Survival Response

Yelling, snapping, or raising your voice faster than you mean to

Feeling a strong need to “win” or control the situation

Getting stuck in power struggles or harsh discipline

Interpreting your child’s behaviour as personal disrespect

Feeling consumed by anger, blame, or resentment toward your child or others

These are your own protectors stepping in trying to defend you against feelings of failure, disrespect, or overwhelm.

Parent Flight Survival Response

Feeling desperate to escape or avoid confrontation with your child

Over-busying yourself to numb out hard emotions

Avoiding discipline conversations altogether because they feel too overwhelming

Feeling restless, anxious, or constantly distracted during parenting moments

Wanting to “fix it quickly” so you don’t have to sit in discomfort

These are your nervous system’s ways of trying to “outrun” the intense feelings triggered by parenting challenges.

Parent Freeze Survival Response

Feeling emotionally numb, disconnected, or unable to respond

Agreeing to things or giving in to avoid conflict

Shutting down or withdrawing emotionally from your child after a hard moment

Struggling to make decisions or feeling paralysed when emotions run high

Falling into deep shame spirals (“I’m a terrible parent,” “I can’t do this”)

Freeze responses in parenting often show up when the overwhelm feels so big, your system tries to keep you safe by shutting down.

Beneath every fight, flight, or freeze reaction in you as a parent, there is also a deeper longing:

And What You as a Parent Really Want…

To parent from a place of calm, clarity, and connection, not fear or shame

To feel confident and grounded even when your child struggles

To break painful cycles without falling into perfectionism or self-blame

To build a strong, secure relationship with your child that lasts beyond the hard moments

To trust yourself, your instincts, and your ability to lead your family with love

You don’t have to parent perfectly.
You simply have to learn how to recognise when your nervous system and your child’s, needs safety, support, and compassion.

That’s what the Trauma Informed Parenting Programme will teach you, step-by-step.

YES, I’M READY TO ENROL

If your child experiences anxiety, ADHD, autism, sensory sensitivities, emotional overwhelm, or struggles that others often misunderstand, you are in the right place.

The tools inside the Trauma Informed Parenting Programme are not about forcing children to “behave” or “fit in.”

They are about helping your child feel safe enough to thrive as they are, while building the emotional skills and nervous system resilience they need to navigate the world.

You’ll learn how to meet your child’s unique nervous system with practical strategies like co-regulation, breathwork, emotional literacy support, and somatic tools that honour both their sensitivity and their strength.

Every lesson is designed through a neurodivergent-affirming, trauma informed, and compassionate lens because your child’s behaviours are not the problem.

The real work is helping them feel safe enough to express, regulate, and live fully as themselves.

Supporting Neurodivergent, Anxious, and Sensitive Children with Compassion and Confidence

This programme celebrates your child’s individuality and equips you with the knowledge, tools, and heart to raise them with the understanding they deserve.

Today’s children are growing up in a world we never had to navigate, one where social media, online pressure, and constant connection can actually leave them feeling more isolated than ever.

It’s not uncommon for teenagers to retreat into their bedrooms, headphones in, screens glowing, as a way to self-soothe or escape from overwhelming feelings they don’t yet have the tools to manage.

And while it can sometimes look like defiance or disconnection, underneath, it’s often another survival response and an attempt to regulate emotions the only way they know how.

The Trauma Informed Parenting Programme doesn’t just help you understand tantrums or meltdowns in young children, it equips you to keep the lines of communication open as your child grows into adolescence and beyond.

You’ll learn how to spot the signs of emotional overwhelm (even when your child insists they’re “fine”), how to navigate difficult conversations about emotions, safety, and choices, and how to build a relationship where your child knows it’s safe to be seen, heard, and supported, not judged.

Parenting in a World of Phones, Social Media, and Silent Bedrooms

Safety | Regulation | Compassion | Connection

Because whether they’re three or seventeen, our children need the same core things from us:

YES, I’M READY TO ENROL

Parenting through a trauma informed lens isn’t about reacting perfectly every time.
It’s about slowing the moment down, recognising what’s happening inside you and your child, and choosing connection over correction. When overwhelm rises, when emotions feel too big, when you’re triggered and unsure what to do……..

PAUSE first. Then parent.

PAUSE First, Then Parent.

These simple steps change everything, because they move you out of survival parenting and back into relational, connected leadership.

Inside the Trauma Informed Parenting Programme, you’ll learn exactly how to use the PAUSE Method in real life:

  • How to recognise when you’re slipping into your own survival responses
  • How to calm and regulate your nervous system first
  • How to meet your child’s underlying needs, not just react to the surface behaviours
  • How to turn hard moments into opportunities for repair, resilience, and deeper trust

Because when you learn to PAUSE first, then parent, you give your children what they need most: A safe base, a steady anchor, and a model of emotional safety they can trust, no matter how big their feelings get.

I’m not just a trauma therapist and coach, I’m also a mum to two incredible humans, a 20-year-old son and a 17-year-old daughter. They are compassionate, kind, emotionally aware, and centred. But if you think that happened without challenges, it didn’t. In fact, the early years of my parenting journey were some of the hardest of my life.

After leaving an abusive, narcissistic marriage, I found myself parenting through my own pain and trauma. I was surviving, not thriving. My sense of worth was so tangled up in being “a good mum” that I unknowingly placed huge pressure on my children to make me feel good enough. And that’s a heavy load for any child to carry. Thankfully, when they were still very young, I recognised what was happening and made the decision to prioritise my own healing. Because I knew if I didn’t, I risked passing down the very patterns I was trying to protect them from.

Let me be clear though, because healing didn’t turn me into a perfect parent (spoiler alert — there’s no such thing). I still made mistakes. I still got triggered. But what changed was my ability to repair, regulate, and model real emotional resilience. I used to think my own parents were superheroes, infallible, flawless beings (I honestly wasn’t sure they were even human at one point). It wasn’t until my mid-20s that I realised they were simply people, doing the best they could with the tools they had. And that’s what we all are.

Parenting through a trauma informed lens has allowed me to raise my children with compassion, humility, and honesty, not perfection. And now, it’s my absolute privilege to help you do the same.
